Halloween Pencil Toppers

Directions

Supplies

Green, black and orange craft foam

"Googly" eyes (craft store)

Two pencils -- with a black or purple eraser

Multi-purpose glue

Ruler

Three round objects -- (jar lids are good) 2", 1 3/4" and 1 1/4"

Sharp scissors or hole punch

Pumpkin

Trace around the three circles on the orange foam and cut out

Cut a green piece for the stem 1" long

Cut out two black triangles for the eyes (1/2" x 1/2")

Cut out a nice big smile (use the 1 3/4" circle to make it round)

Glue the eyes and mouth on to the onto the 1 3/4" circle

Glue the stem on to the back of the 2" circle

With sharp scissors, cut an "X" in the center of each circle (a hole punch can also be used)

Thread the circles onto the pencil from the end that you sharpen starting with the small circle

Push the circles up to the top leaving space between each circle

Make great party favors or gifts for friends. Fun to take to school!

Wicked Witch

Cut a triangle 2" x 1 1/2 " from the green foam

Trim it to look like picture

Make the hat 2" tall and 2 1/4" for the brim from black foam

Cut a triangle for the nose from the green foam 2" x 3/4"

Cut a black round circle for the mouth

Poke a hole in it and add an orange tongue

Glue hat on to head

Glue mouth on

Glue on eyes

Add a hatband with some orange foam

With sharp scissors cut an "x" where the nose should go (or use a hole punch)

Make two "X"s in the nose piece one near the bottom of the triangle and one about 1/4" up toward the tip of the triangle

Put the pencil eraser through the first hole then the second

Add the head from the end of the pencil you sharpen

Push it up toward the eraser

The eraser is the witch’s wart

This pencil is great for awful math homework!
