Snake
Fold snake material with right sides together
Sew one end from the corner to the fold at an angle (this is the tail)
Sew bottom seam together stopping 6" before the end
Leave rest of seam open
Close end by adding tongue (make sure it is on the inside at the top near the fold)

and sewing closed from the corner to the fold at an angle
Turn right side out
Attach eyes
Stuff snake with polyester fill using a yardstick
Snake should have an opening at the head for fingers and to stuff
Chicken
Cut out two chicken patterns
Cut off legs and base by continuing the round shape of the bottom of the chicken
With right sides together, sew two matching body parts together leaving open between marks
Clip and turn
Add feathers using all-
Fill with 2 cups of polly-
Sew close the opening
Sew chicken to headband or stocking cap
Tooth necklace
Make teeth out of clay -
(find a picture of a tooth to use as a guide and the number of teeth depends on size of teeth and child)
Poke hole in each tooth before it dries
Let dry for recommended time on clay directions
Thread string through holes knotting between each tooth
Tie at ends
Assemble the rest of the costume according to the photo

A stamped on pattern of two patriotic chickens
(2 patterns per yard)

6" square of black material for "doo rag"

1/4 yard of snake material
Snake eyes (craft store)
Polyester fill
Piece of felt (for tongue)

Thick wooden skewer to make holes
